Anaheim Transportation Network Equitable and Clean Transportation

The Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN) is analyzing and developing strategies that would increase multi-modal transportation in the Anaheim City Centers Corridor. This analysis will result in a Community-Based Mobility Options and Policy Implementation Plan (Plan) intended to provide transportation and mobility solutions and policy recommendations for ATN and the City of Anaheim. The Plan will consider current planning efforts, equity, feasibility, and most importantly, community input.

ABOUT OUR PROJECT

THE GOALS OF PROJECT INCLUDE:
  • Increase access to local destinations
  • Help reduce air pollution and the distance people drive in their cars
  • Promote wider access to transportation services
  • Provide transportation strategies to help uplift underserved communities
  • Create ways to secure long-term funding to keep services going
  • Hear feedback from a variety of voices in the community including transit-dependent riders, youth, older adults, commuters, and non-English speakers
WE NEED YOUR INPUT!

ATN is looking for your input in the development and growth of the transportation system in the Anaheim City Centers Corridor. We want to hear from the current and future transit riders who will inspire wide-ranging transportation solutions.

As part of this process, we are seeking your feedback on the following:

  • Strengths and weaknesses of the existing transportation system
  • How to get people where they need to go
  • Important places you travel to around the city

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

If you have a question that isn't answered in our FAQ, please email us at ATNCleanTransportation@arellanoassociates.com.

The Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN) is a transportation service network that provides public transportation to City of Anaheim locals and visitors through fixed bus routes, microtransit, and airport shuttles.  Learn more about ATN and services provided by visiting www.rideart.org

This analysis will result in equitable and clean transportation ideas and strategies for a new Community-Based Mobility Options and Policy Implementation Plan (Plan). This Plan intends to provide updated transportation and mobility solutions for the City of Anaheim’s Center City Corridors (C3). The Plan will be built thorough review of post and current planning efforts, a focus on equity, feasibility, and targeted community input.

The C3 is comprises approximately 2,600 acres and is centrally located in central Anaheim. The C3 area boundaries are the State Route-91 Freeway to the north, Interstate 5 and Platinum Triangle to the south, East Street and the Metrolink Railroad to the east, and Interstate 5 and West Street to the west. A City map of the C3 area can be found by visiting https://www.anaheim.net/4814/Center-City-Corridors.

Your participation is part of what will make this Plan a success. We need to hear from people like you about how we can better meet mobility needs, where you want to go, and the types of services you want to see in the C3 area. Your input will influence a range of mobility suggestions and policy solutions to guide transportation services in this area for years.

The Project Team will use an Equity Guardrails Strategy to ensure equity is considered from the start of the Study by collaborating with the community to identify potential impacts on equity. The Project Team will distill community feedback into equity guardrails that will then become requirements for policies and actions. Any policy or action that fails to meet an equity guardrail must be improved or removed. This process helps integrate equity into planning and shows how community feedback affects project outcomes.

To participate in this process, please sign up to join our mailing list and receive information on upcoming opportunities to engage. You will be invited to attend community events and workshops and interact with our online engagement tools.

This effort is dually funded by grants from the California Air Resources Board’s Sustainable Transportation Equity Project and the Federal Transportation Administration's Areas of Persistent Poverty.

Yes, anyone can participate in this process. In addition to residents in the area, we would love to hear from anyone who works, shops, or spends time here. All members of the public are welcome to participate.

At the completion of the Study, end of summer 2024, the Plan will be made available on the ATN website and can be found here www.rideart.org
